TRAKKA MISSIONS

The Mission:

To deliver critical medical services rapidly to emergency sites and to evacuate patients to specialist medical facilities.

Capability Requirement:

The ability to land day and night on unprepared landing sites, and the ability to evidence no-damage caused when landing on private property.

Trakka Solution:

The Trakka A800 provides illumination to assess landing sites prior to touchdown, with internal multispectral filters for the operator to optimize lighting for different environmental conditions. The new TLX provides even more illumination, coupled with the industry-first option for dual TI/TV cameras to view and record the scene in color and thermal for maximum situational awareness.

Mission Statement:

To search for and detect persons in grave danger, and to assist with their rescue. Missions range from rescue at sea to mountain rescue, and frequently take place under extremely dangerous environmental conditions. For the military, CSAR takes place in hostile enemy territory under combat conditions.

Capability Requirement:

The ability to search for persons day and night with camera systems optimised for high probability detection of small objects at long range with wide FOVs. Searchlights to supplement the cameras for shorter range active detection at night, coupled with soft-red filter lighting to coordinate winching rescue operations.

Trakka Solution:

Trakka’s TC-300 is a lightweight camera system with TI and TV sensors optimized for detection of small targets in wide FOV. It provides 80% of the performance of larger competitor systems at much lower price, and is particularly suitable for SAR platforms where weight is critical. Trakka’s A800 and new TLX searchlights provide industry-leading beam quality with uniform illumination, vital for effective detection at all ranges and all FOVs. Both models also feature the market’s only internal multispectral filter wheel, allowing the operator to optimise performance at the press of a button for all environmental conditions and phases of the mission.

Mission Statement:

To effect all aspects of overt and covert policing from the air, day and night, including coordination and direction of ground forces.

Capability Requirement:

Camera systems which allow for day or night detection, identification and tracking of suspect persons or vehicles, integrated with mapping systems for coordination with ground assets. Searchlights to provide active lighting, overt or covert (near-IR), to complement the passive camera systems.

Trakka Solution:

Trakka’s TC-300 is a lightweight camera system with continuous zoom TI and TV sensors. This provides the operator with full situational awareness throughout the zoom range, without the risk of losing the target that can occur in systems using switched FOV’s. The thermal imager is available in both MCT and InSb options depending on customer preference. The system provides 80% of the performance of larger 15” competitor systems in a package less than half the weight and at much lower price. Trakka also supplies its own optional mapping system for cost-effective integration with the TC-300. Trakka’s A800 and new TLX searchlights provide industry-leading beam quality with uniform illumination, at half the power draw of equivalent competitor systems. Both models also feature the market’s only internal multispectral filter wheel, allowing the operator to optimise performance at the press of a button for all environmental conditions. The searchlights are digitally controlled, allowing slew rates up to 60 deg/sec for slaving with camera systems (3x faster than the equivalent competitor). The TLX also features the new industry benchmark dual fixed FOV TI/TV camera option matched to the searchlight, to provide enhance close-in situational awareness.

Mission Statement:

To provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capability for both air and ground (fixed or vehicle-based) military assets.

Capability Requirement:

The ability to provide covert target detection, recognition, identification and location information in camera systems of various sizes to suit different customer air and ground platforms and budget requirements.

Trakka provides a scalable family of 200mm, 300mm and 400mm gyrostabilised multisensory TI, TV & LRF camera systems suitable for both airborne and land platforms. These systems provide very effective DRI ranges at very competitive price points. Trakka can supply the camera systems standalone, or can deliver a fully integrated solution including installation on the users platform, utilizing the extensive experience Trakka has accumulated with vehicle systems.

To provide surveillance capability to patrol maritime areas, EEZ’s and land borders to detect incursions, whether hostile, illegal (eg foreign fishing vessels) or refugees.

Capability Requirement:

The ability to search for persons, land vehicles or marine vessels, day and night with camera systems optimised for high probability detection of small objects at long range with wide FOVs. Searchlights to supplement the cameras for shorter range active detection at night, coupled with soft-red filter lighting to coordinate winching rescue operations.

The ability to provide covert target detection, recognition, identification and location information in camera systems of various sizes to suit different customer fixed ground or vehicle system installations.

Mission Statement:

To provide multispectral fault detection and reporting for safe aerial inspection of high voltage transmission and distribution powerlines.

Capability Requirement:

Gyro-stabilised camera systems which provide radiometric non-contact thermal measurement of temperature, as well as corona detection to sense high voltage arcing and discharge, and high resolution colour video fault capture with precise geo-location.

Trakka Solution:

Trakka’s SWE-400 QUAD offers the top of the range industry-leading multispectral powerline inspection package. It features radiometric thermal imager, solar-blind UV corona detector, high resolution colour zoom TV and MegaPixel stills camera for fault recording. The mid-range SWE-300 TRIPLE offers the same sensor package as the SWE-400 QUAD with the exception of the MegaPixel stills camera. Trakka’s SWE-300 HDIR offers a full radiometric thermal imaging and colour zoom TV capability as a smaller more cost-effective solution.

Mission Statement:

To provide detection of leaks or deliberate tampering for security of pipelines carrying oil and other liquids. There is also a separate need for safe aerial inspection of pipelines carrying both hydrocarbon or VOC (volatile organic compound) gases.

Capability Requirement:

Gyro-stabilised camera systems which provide thermal imaging and colour TV camera systems for detection of liquid spills and physical security breaches. Gyro-stabilised camera systems for detection of gas leaks utilizing specialist InSb sensors specifically optimized for airborne gas detection.

Trakka Solution:

Trakka’s SWE-300 HDIR provides a lightweight cost-effective system for detecting thermal signatures of liquid leaks or spillages. The HDTV colour camera can be used for daylight physical security survey patrol. Trakka’s SWE-400 QUAD can be used if MegaPixel stills photos are required for evidential purposes. For gas pipeline inspection, Trakka has conceptualised the SWE-300 GAS offering the latest third-party InSb gas detector together with a colour zoom TV camera – information can be provided on request.

Mission Statement:

To provide multispectral camera systems for applications ranging from environmental surveys (eg looking for contaminants or pollutants), to damage assessments (eg post natural disasters or storms), to airborne corridor assessments (eg powerline vegetation management) to wildlife counting and habitat management.

Capability Requirement:

Gyrostabilised camera systems with thermal imaging colour TV and MegaPixel stills cameras to record appropriate information for evidential, insurance or conservation management purposes.

Mission Statement:

To provide airborne detection and assist suppression of fires before they become uncontrollable, either in the wild or in urban high-rise buildings.

Capability Requirement:

Gyro-stabilised airborne camera systems with infrared thermal imaging sensors and colour TV sensors for location of specific hot spots through smoke and darkness, as well as for location of any smouldering fires to prevent flare-ups.
