Back in 2003, Trakka’s founders, having recently begun the development of the Trakka Searchlight, recognized the Homeland Security and ISR categories as markets with high growth potential. In order to capitalize on this opportunity, they created a dynamic ‘go-to-market’ plan for expanding the business and its product offering. This led to the mid-2003 acquisition of Gyrocam Systems, an under performing US manufacturer of aerial-gyro-stabilized camera technologies.
